Mysterious Longfin Siblings

Materials: Andesite rock, Oamaru (limestone) stone.

Dimensions: 180 x 26 x 20cm.

These eels siblings are like all eels, massive migrators, siblings: as over the centuries long attempts to discover the eels true origins, finally it is uncovered that eels go through a series of metamorphoses being perhaps sexless until later in life when they migrate back to their unknown birthplace in the deep blue sea, become female to spawn their eggs. I wished to highlight the eels mysterious existence, and man’s inability to truly help them out with breeding, all artificial breeding has failed. It is only through humans greatly changing their ways, that can potentially help these beings.
