Andesite Mortar and Poi Pounder

This mortar is an adaptation is accompany a poi pounder. Poi is a traditional food in the likes of Hawaii and the Maquesas, where roots vegetables are traditionally pounded using the flatter surface of the pounder.
This adapted mortar has shallower bowl with a slight curve compared to a deeper well rounded traditional mortar bowl.

This bowl is still deep enough to be used like a regular mortar and pestle.
